Points of Interest/Activities
(Talk to our Front Desk Staff about these and other things to do)
Chico's Paradise - A river front Chino's Paradise
Snorkeling in the Marietta Islands- Private and group boats take you 25 miles off shore for a day of excellent snorkeling.
Sunset Cruise/Booze Cruise- a wondeful early evening sail on the Bay of Flags. Check with our front desk as to which is best at present.
Boat Trips to Las Animas and Yelapa-  Leave in the morning, take a serene cruise down to the beautiful Las Animas beach down the coast. Have drinks and lunch under a palapa on the beach (recommend red snapper or shrimp), swim and sun yourself, be back by late afternoon. See if you can get a shot or two of raicia, a locally produced cousin of tequila. Smoother, and slightly hallucinogenic..
A larger boat, the Serape, goes a bit further down the coast to Yelapa. Same type of scene, but a few more houses, a few more vendors.

Downtown PV- is great fun for shopping at the central market. Lots of silver, leather, inexpensive and decorative cotton clothing. Don't miss the Cathedral and Central Plaza, quaint and atmospheric. Take a stroll up the Malecon, the wide ocean-front sidewalk where people congregate evenings and Sundays just to people watch and socialize. The Rio Cuale runs through downtown, and is lined with a walkway, shops and restaurants. It's all a five minute, four dollar taxi trip from ClubBV to the center of town.   Carefull! Sunscreen required!

There are many other restaurants serving a variety of national cuisines. Both shrimp and huachinango(red snapper) are served everywhere, and are usually excellent.

Cafe Des Artistes Tel. 2-32-28 and 2-32-29. In downtown PV.  An authentic French chef has been in PV for more than twenty years.   Top quality food, both as to ingredients and presentation, and atmosphere. Not inexpensive, but well worth the price. Sometimes they have a prix fixe menu, which is an excellent value.

La Terraza Restaurant.Tel. 1-05-60, 1-02-62.  Located in the Marina District, on the waterfront with views of sailboats. Terrace and inside dining.  Very good classic Italian dishes at a reasonable price. Charming spot to watch people and boats.

Daiquiri Dick's- Tel. 2-05-66 Ocean front dining is always good here. Owners Peter and Tari Bowman always have something interesting on the menu.  Try the black bean soup, and ask for cilantro sauce to use on anything! Try the frozen daiquiris.
